SCCM 2012 Depend Management Point to communicate with the clients, but some time you got some error related to MP unreachable, or not function.. etc.
The Question is how can I know if the Management Point is working or not ?
- As know that everything in SCCM have its own log, first we need to check if the Management Point is installed successfully, we can check the MPSetup.log file.
- Check IIS and make sure that the Virtual Directory SMS_MP is present under the default website
- Check MPControl.log for success messages (Statuc Code 200)
- Run a test from your IE
- http://
/ sms_mp/.sms_aut?mplist (This should return the MP Server Name) http:// /sms_mp/.sms_aut?mpcert (This should return a long number and letters)
If all are OK, then your MP are working OK and you have no problem in it.
